Self Help Group

Formation of new Self Help groups – The main objective is improving participation of women for SHG’s training, financial literacy, monthly savings, participating in village meetings and starts some additional income generation activity etc.


Currently we have network with 10 SHGs & 106 women enrolled with us – Every group has 10 -12members and they have started a monthly saving of Rs. 100 each.

Case Study

Lena Khandu Garud

a 38 year old house wife living with her husband and two children aged 16 years daughter and 14 year son studying in 11th and 9th standard. Husband is only earning person in their family. The family monthly income is not sufficient to fulfil their basic needs and others like education, health etc.

In the new initiated Women Empowerment Project Lena showed her interest as she wanted to start some addition income generation activity. She joined to Self –help group which initiated by us in month of January 2018.

Later Supriya was selected for doing small business in her locality and she chose to tailor and got trained through Government run course. After completion of course she has provided a swing machine supported by Government through for improving their livelihood. Now she earns at about 500 to 1000 rupees per month which will grow in future.

Vijaya Bhusale

Vijaya Bhusale At Khadak Pada . a village where almost every man has doing the farming , 34 years old, Vijaya Bhusale turns entrepreneur and starts a business of Granding machine to support her family. A 7th-grade pass, Vijaya Bhusale who never got the opportunity to study further, understands the importance of education and supports her husband who is farmer by educating her 2 kids.

She joined Self Help Group by the Hari Sankar Foundation. Initially, her husband and relatives did not support her and told her to quit the SHG But Later on she was selected for doing small business in her locality and she chose to Grander Machine and got trained through Government run course. After completion of course she has provided a Grander machine supported by Government through for improving their livelihood. Now she earns at about 1500 to 2000 rupees per month which will grow in future.
